Here’s a tropical plant you don’t see that much, courtesy the fabulous collection at the Volunteer Park Conservatory in Seattle, WA.

Longwood Gardens flower balls

I was lucky enough to visit Longwood Gardens near Philadelphia, PA just a few days ago. What an enormous,, impressive and gorgeous place. The photo below is inside one of their huge indoor conservatory spaces.

Artificial anthuriums

Even fake flowers can look good when the light is nice. These white anthurium flowers were a pretty holiday display at the Normandy Park Cove Holiday Bazaar yesterday.

Anthuriums

A recent visit on a rainy day to the Volunteer Park Conservatory was filled with Spring flowers, and also these tropical beauties, Anthuriums. Exciting, aren’t they? My mom used to grow them in South Florida, so I’m always partial to them.

Visit Ruby Tuesday for more red visions, Color Carnival for more brilliant color, Window Wednesday for windows and doors, and SOOC for more straight-out-of-the-camera shots.
