Kitty in grass shadows

Oh, photo archives are a treasure. So many photos, and after a few years, some are completely new to me. I took that? Apparently I did, on a garden tour ten years ago. Here’s to July, and kitties, and sunshine!

Holly berries

I know it’s not the Christmas season anymore, but on a walk around the neighborhood these looked so fine.

Tulips emerging

There was a sunbreak recently (a very Seattle thing) and I went outside to work in the garden. The bulbs are starting! Behind the tulip sprouts are bluebells starting up.

Blueberry leaves in fall

When the sun comes out, even the simplest leaves are beautiful in their autumn glory.

Yellow brugmansia

Went to fun Oktoberfest at Seattle’s Volunteer Park Conservatory and really loved the evening lighting on the blooming, heavenly scented flowers. No wonder they call them Angel’s Trumpets!

Lavatera flower

In a West Seattle friend’s backyard, macro of a flower of a lavatera shrub. What showy, crinkled, ruffled flowers, each one as big as a small apple, and so joyful!

Burien clock

The little city of Burien, Washington, has a very sculptural clock. Here it is as it looked on Art Walk the other evening, in extremely fine weather. See the crescent moon in the sky, adding to the ambiance?

More sculpture than clock, Burien is lucky to have this special timepiece.
