Seattle crabapple tree branch

This taken yesterday across from the P-patch gardens on Thomas St. in the very late afternoon sun. It could be a cherry but I think it’s a crabapple. Just gorgeous.

That’s beautiful! I can’t wait for the temperatures to warm up!!!
Thank you. Yes, it’s been so cold but that does extend the spring, you know. Cold comfort, as they say.
Utterly gorgeous, but I think it’s a cherry tree.
The flowers were pretty big, at least an inch across. I thought cherry blossoms were sort of airier, not so densely covering the branches.
Beautiful…cherry blossoms (Sakura)!!!
Are you sure? I’d love to know.
I don’t particularly like swearing, but I could … that looks suspiciously like a flowering plum. If you dig a little deeper in the family tree, plums alppes roses, strawberries etc are all part of the same clan.
Sorry, I was half asleep!
Definitely cherry blossoms! There are scores of those trees here in Vancouver, and as an avid cherry blossom lover, I vote they are definitely from that tree!
