Daylily for Ruby Tuesday, with water
It wasn’t much rain, but it was enough to glisten up this exquisite daylily I found on my walk the other day. It has a ruby throat and so can post for Ruby Tuesday, and the water droplets will have to qualify for Watery Wednesday. I apologize for all the flowers I’ve been posting lately, but they are blooming everywhere, so what can I do?

Very pretty photo – and it certainly does qualify for both Ruby Tuesday and Watery Wednesday.
Beautiful flower and I like the droplets of water on it.
That’s one pretty orange flower 🙂 I also like the violet flower 😉
Happy WW!
The water droplets are very detailed. I like seeing how the orange changes just slightly around them.
No need to apologize for a wonderful shot!!
beautiful
Happy WW!
Sure wish mine would pop already 🙂

What lovely droplets on your beautiful hybiscus blossom. I have one this color in MY yard and it’s my favorite.
Hugs and blessings,
Beautiful!

I love flowers shots! I just took a similar photo but it isn’t as good as yours! What kind of lens did you use. I am thinking about getting a 50 mm.
That is a beautiful flower and picture!! Great capture of waterdrops too. They are not easy to get!!
Absolutely lovely photography! My lilies won’t bloom for at least another three weeks or so. I live so far north that everything is late showing up…except winter!
I know this will sound weird but I always enjoy photos of lilies more than the actual lilies – with the exception of stargazers – beautiful smell! Lovely shot!
Great shot. Love the color of this day lily and the drops of water. They are blooming everywhere. Isn’t it great?
To answer your question about my water shots, believe me a lot of it is trial and error since I’m still using my manual options. A lot of times whether or not something works easily depends on the lighting. Sometimes I can take the shot on auto. Sometimes I have to do it manually and fiddle with different apertures and shutter speeds. The other day I took over 50 shots and never got it right because I couldn’t get the shutter speed and aperture to work together in the shade where the water feature was located. I couldn’t get enough light in for the speed I wanted and the flash changed the look I wanted… it was just a mess for me and very frustrating.
All that to say, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. You just don’t see all of the shots that don’t work. 🙂
Beautiful, love the water drops
