International Festival for Ruby Tuesday
Seattle has an International Festival in the International District which really seems to be Chinatown, mostly. We went last year, had a great time, and were glad to see it was bigger this year, but I could do without the amplified karaoke. There was wonderful dancing on the Dragon Stage by several Punjabi groups, and the vendors included a food carver, below. Red is the color of good fortune in China, you know, so there was lots everywhere.
For even more red, visit Ruby Tuesday. And for more seriously bright colors, visit Color Carnival.

That food carver is wonderful! What talent it takes to do that. The whole event looked like a blast.
Red is an auspicious color to the Chinese, you’ll find plenty in Chinatown and the homes of the chinese!
It’s a very difficult to do the vegetable/fruit carving, he’s one great artist!
The food carvings are amazing!
My Ruby Tuesday
The swans are amazing.
What a wonderful sounding festival. Food carving just astounds me, I can barely do a radish flower, and even that looks a bit sickly.
Great shots. I love that Food art stuff, its amazing.
Your photo’s are fabulous. I looked at them all. Your colors are brilliant, and I did get a few tips for my tomatoes and sweet peas. Thank you
