The Willamette River in Portland
A few weeks ago we were in Portland and I took the shot from the window as we drove across the Willamette river on the Morrison bridge. I once met someone from Willamette University and he told me it’s pronounced to rhyme with “damn it” as in, “It’s Willamette, damn it!” So now you know, and the river is pronounced the same way.

Love this photo! I’ve never been to Oregon or Washington ~ Heard so much about how beautiful it is in your part of the country!
Aw … this is a breathtaking photograph! Marvelous reflections and fascinating perspective.
Hugs and blessings,
What a great Wordless Wednesday! Hope you have a fantastic day!
Damn it, I like our picture of the Willamette!
Thanks, everyone, for visiting and leaving a comment. Much appreciated. It’s amazing what a little camera (that you carry with you always because it’s so small) can snap.
What a beautiful photo! I love the reflections on the pavement and the gloomy nature of the clouds!
Awesome photo! Love the lighting!
This beautiful shot of a bridge reminds me of the Japanese Gardens frequently seen in the Far East. It has that ornate, yet simple design so reminiscent of the the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, one of the master of his day.
