Boat wake
It was only last month that we went crabbing in our friends’ 28-foot boat in the waters off Anacortes, Washington, but it does seem farther back than that. Summer’s weather was so gray and dismal that the rare blue skies that day were a total thrill. This photo reminds me of the clear air and great watery smell up there. Vrooom!
Visit Watery Wednesday and Outdoor Wednesday, plus Scenic Sunday, Skywatch Friday and Blue Monday, if you’d like to see more neat photos on those themes. There’s also SOOC Sunday for straight-out-of-the-camera shots like this one.
As long as you’re here, you might as well try a tag like “water” to see more of my own photos with water in them. You can always return to the latest post here by clicking on Sara’s Fave Photos.
Even though there are several photos I posted this week that I really like, I think the sense of motion and distance in this one makes it my fave for the week. Plus the sunshine and water, of course—so I’m tagging it my Best Post of the Week.

Fantastic shot.

Great Shot. Love the setting!
I wanna ride too! Looks like great fun!!!
What a fantastic shot! I just love this.
When the sun comes out up there it’s enough to make me want to pack up and move.
So nicely done. The wake just pulls you into the background.
Terrific symmetry. Thanks for sharing.
Love that scene. And just by watching it makes me sleepy. ^_^Happy Thursday!

We also had a very overcast and dreary summer hen after the equinox the sun magically emerged one bright blue weekend which we spent on the shore watching and wading in the waves. I love love how the wake mirrors the cloud formations. Beautiful capture.
Fantastic shot, love the wake. And what a gorgeous sky!
I love your Outdoor Wednesday photo. Beautiful water.
What a fantastic shot, it has such a Summery feel to it.
Oh that looks like fun. You’re trying to make us jealous, aren’t you! Gorgeous waters and sky…what more can you ask for…
lovely, you could look at it upside down and it would look fine too
Beautiful beautiful!
I’m not usually a fan of power boats but this is a great shot!
Beautiful. We brought the boat home from the docks last week. It will seem like forever before it’s time to dock it again in May.

Interesting, you taught me something. I didn’t know these is called boat wake. When I was young, we traveled a lot by boat to my grand parent’s homes. I loved looking at the boat wakes.
So pretty.
Happy Blue Monday!
A very pretty shot of the fast boat making big blue waves.
