First rose
This red rose bud (probably ‘Don Juan”) is my first rose of the season. This particular rosebush is grown from a cutting I took at our last house five years ago, and THAT rosebush was from a cutting that a friend rooted for me when I still lived in California. It’s intensely fragrant. Happy rose season to all my friends in the Northern Hemisphere!

What a gorgeous rose. I’m glad it’s doing well in Seattle.
Even in the Southern Hemisphere, i.e. my garden the roses are still in bloom. I love yours and it’s story and slender buds.
A beautiful beginning, I hope you enjoy many more roses in your garden Sara:-)
What a beautiful color! Always fun to see who thrives first of the roses.
Such a beautiful color !
Roses exploded at my house this week. They are featured in my post as well. Happy Ruby Tuesday.
How pretty! I did not know you could grow roses from cuttings. How wonderful to have essentially the same plant move with you!
