Hello Sara,
May you have a wonderful 2015.
I am quite taken with your lilly photo.
I’d not have thought so much striking emotion would show from a flower when in black and white… but as I can see quite clearly from your photo, emotion is strikingly richly present.
Thank you for such an interesting and beautiful presentation.
Very striking in black and white, a stunning image Sara!
PS I forgot to mention I stopped by from Today’s Flowers. Great place to click on a flower and discover the unexpected
beautiful detail of shape, tone and shadow in this delightful black and white macro.
Brilliant photo in B&W! Great light and shadows! Wonderful details!
A beautiful photo!

A beautiful b&w photo of this flower, well done!
Happy New Year to you!
My b&w post at: https://hanshb.wordpress.com/
Beautiful light! Simply lovely photo.
What a sensational photo! I love the drama of B&W, but am too cowardly to try it out as my photo stories rely so much on the colours of Australia! Actually after seeing YOUR photo, I think I’ll just admire from afar, and leave the B&W to the experts like you!
Gorgeous shadows, though!!!
Aren’t you already addicted to photography? Or do you mean the b/w?
It’s the black-and-white thing, Judy. I used to take black and white many years ago while using Tri-X film, and it was a great way to clarify my thinking in a photo and help me with composition, texture, and the other elements of a good photo. But in recent years I’ve become seduced by luxurious color. It’s kind of fun to put that aside and see if I can make a good photo (one that I want to keep looking at) without color, kind of like restricting a poem to a sonnet formation.
The B&W makes for a highlighting of the textures and shadow play. Well, done.
Great B&W capture…. I like especially the spoon mums.
Nice job, Sara! The flowers are striking in black and white.
Great shot, Sara. Love the textures and contrasts, so well shown in this B&W shot.
Many thanks for taking part in Floral Friday Fotos, hope to see your entry this week as well.
