Germinating peas
We’ve been having a cold and wet Spring in Seattle. Even though I soaked them for a few hours before planting, my SugarSnap peas took almost three weeks to germinate! But finally, they are showing (this photo taken a couple of days ago in a sunbreak). Above and to the right of the teensy shoots just breaking through the ground are some SugarSnap starts I happened to find for sale, so that’s going to make harvest longer. Spinach seeds just showing their true leaves to the left.

Hope you will have a good harvest this year. We did so with our peas last year. This year we decided not to plant them.
…I have sown my peas, carrots and parsnips, but nothing is up yet.
They are tough, but need sun and warm weather! In Finland we can sow something in the open air in May-June.
Those little buggars take patience, but I know they will taste awesome!
Thank you for being a part of ‘My Corner of the World’ this week!
