Ducks on Lake Garrett
Hubby has a new hobby, geocaching. He tramps around parks and other public places with his trusty GPS unit, and finds hidden geocaches. It’s sort of interesting, but mainly I tag along for the scenic things I might find. Lake Garrett Park was new to me, and even though the day was cool and quite breezy, the ducks seemed quite happy.
Happy Watery and Outdoor Wednesday! And visit Scenic Sunday and Weekend Reflections while you’re at it.

The babies will be lined up behind in a month or so. The red bark on those shrubs in the lower photo is beautiful.
Happy WW!
I like the reflections and the ripples on the water in the top picture and the red plants in the bottom. It’s always nice to see ducks too. My lens is a 18-270mm and I just recently got my first tripod but I haven’t really tried it out yet. It’s hard to break the habit of shooting without one. 🙂
Nothing deters mallards. We have them walking around on the ice in the dead of winter, along with the Canada geese.
Wow! I love the second photo with the red branches in the foreground. The color adds so much! Beautiful!
Oh any activity that gets me out there and shooting something I’m for it.
Is geocaching akin to treasure hunting?
The detail on the reflections of the water is great. I can almost see it moving and feel the texture.
I love the bare red branches> Nature has a way of being beautiful in all of her stages. If only we ould see ourselves that way.
Some day i wanna see this naked eye!
Dazy Daisy
In that first photo, the ducks are nearly camouflaged.
Here’s Mine
I especially like the second photo — so nicely composed. I have friends who geocache — sounds like a fun hobby.
Lot of ducks in WW today. I love the ripples in the first.
Ducks on Water is a great sign of Spring over here in Norway.
We still have to wait some more weeks.
Nice photos
All your duck shots are great for today. I really like the bottom one. Very eye catching.
Hi Sarah,
Geocaching usually gives some great photo ops. I love he Red Twig Dogwood in the second photo. It is a tough plant that we use a lot. Adds great winter interest to the garden.
I like the mutually satisfying hobbies idea! Bill likeks to fish — I like to “go” fishing, but I don’t like TO FISH. I go for the interesting things to see and photograph — or to watch birds.
Very nice PNW scenery!
Ooh, I like these. I especially like the texture of the water with the reflections in the first shot.
Great shots! I especially like the second one.
Love water pictures 🙂 Happy Outdoor Wednesday!
Impressive shots as always Sara.
All the best

Gliding on the pond,
duck and drake move on to where
the fishing’s better.
Koi
Great shots.
seen you on Mr. Linky’s list a few times.
Was curious what geocaching is, so i search the google. Do people hid precious things inside the cache? It must be interesting to have more than one million members.
