Pink andromeda
Not sure whether this is best called Japonica, Pieris, or Andromeda, this big shrub with tiny bells is actually fragrant! The white-flowered one is, too. Lean your nose in and inhale. Very sweet. I had no idea until someone told me last year. This pink one is blooming at my driveway and I caught it on our rare burst of sunshine on Saturday.
The red stems count for Ruby Tuesday, I think. Visit Macro Monday, Outdoor Wednesday and Pink Saturday, and if you have a minute, do click on Free Photos “next door” for an additional selection of pretty flower and scenic photos.

Beautiful, and yes, it smells delicious. If only… 😉
It is time to look for incredible blooms like this one. Winter in finally gone and Spring is here. Happy RT.
beautiful
wow this is beautiful. does this flower has a scent?
Cardinal
I have the white Perris, Sara, and until now never thought to see if it was scented. It IS! Just slightly. Your pink one is so pretty, I’m going to be on the lookout for one to put in my garden.
I loved your comment on Ruby Tuesday and am glad you said it. It really is a lily. Have a great week!
Beautiful!
I can feel those blossoms caressing my fingers, Sara!
A TOUCH OF RED
They say that just one touch of red
Will put big, bold thoughts in your head.
So scarlet’s for you,
And burgundy too,
And cardinal and carmine—‘nuff said!
