Astoria Bridge in the sunshine
We visited Astoria, Oregon a couple of years ago, on my birthday. Browing through old photos, I saw this view of the Astoria Bridge over the Columbia River, actually one of the most dangerous stretches of water anywhere, but so lovely on a clear spring day.
Enjoy more skies at Skywatch Friday. Blue Monday, Outdoor Wednesday, Shadow Shot Sunday, SOOC Sunday (straight out of the camera), Scenic Sunday, and Watery Wednesday are also fun. Don’t forget, you can always see the entire blog by clicking on the Sara’s Fave Photos banner on top. Thanks so much for visiting!

I’ve always wanted to go here. What a great shot and blue skies too! I heard that the Coast Guard trains here because the waters are so rough…Happy 4th of July!
Awesome capture of this scenic bridge and sky. It is a place I have also wanted to visit. Happy skywatching!
I love the way you did this image.
Wait a minute — isn’t Astoria in the sunshine an oxymoron? (Beautiful photo!! And I know the sun shines there sometimes, really I do!)
I love crossing bridges but don’t like tunnels ^_

Nice capture. I really like the perspective!
Really wonderful straight out of the camera shot!! 🙂
Hi! Followed your blog!
Look at that bridge. And you really made it stretched out in one capture. Great job!
Another great photo. I love Astoria. I read that the Columbia’s current can be measured 100 miles out into the ocean. An awesome bridge over an awesome body of water that flows into even another awesome body of water. Lots of energy there.
Peace
fantastic composition
it has a sense of endless space
Great shot of the bridge over water.
Good photo.
Regards!
This is a great shot of a gorgeous bridge!
What a beautiful blue sky. Great picture.
You captured a very nice shadow of that bridge on the water! I feel like I’m travelling the world through everyone’s shadow shots!
Wow… amazing bridge…
Love the photo!
We were in Astoria a few years back…but it was quite cloudy/foggy and we couldn’t see much of the bridge at all. Nice shot!
Wow, an incredible piece of architecture!
Love the angle of the bridge. Great shot!
