Rose campion
An old-fashioned flower, for sure. My mom used to grow this one. It’s very, very tough, can bloom in sun or shade, reseeds very vigorously. Also it’s on the tall side, which I like. But the color of its small flowers (one inch or 3 cm) is extraordinary: an electric magenta that seems to move to red—just the most shimmering, intense color, and combined with its silvery stems and leaves, a real showy plant.

I have rose campion. It is a charmer. I was just in Seattle with 75 other garden bloggers and we saw some wonderful unique gardens. What a great part of the world you live in.

Pretty. 🙂
Grows in sun or shade, what a winning flower.

I’m your newest follower and would love for you to follow me.
Have a wonderful day!!
Oh! What beauties!
I love that shade of pink. I am more of a bold pink than soft pink kind of girl.
Thank you for participating in this very special Pink Saturday. I hope you will send your visitors over to comment and help us to raise more money for the next Miracle Makeover.
Yes I love that color pink. Lovelflower.
Happy pink Saturday
A very pretty bloom with just the right touch of moisture. Nice job.
Sara, Thanks for the comment at Deeprootsathome. My friend is a young hippie. Like me when I was her age 🙂 This garden was pristine (for a garden, and they didn’t mind getting dirty). The family is going back to the old-fashioned way of women wearing feminine dresses (from thrift stores) and they have a whimsical appeal.
Now I know what rose campion is: lovely with the dew or rain!
Lovely flower and the color is very feminine.
