Orange bell peppers
Farmers markets are so great. I took a look at the prices in our local Burien Farmers Market and realized that sometimes they are only a quarter of the cost in the supermarket, and fresher to boot. Next year I am going to make more of an effort to make the Thursday market each week. I like that the money goes right to the farmer, too.
Take a look at what people have posted at Macro Friday, Color Carnival, Macro Monday, Mellow Yellow Monday, SOOC Sunday (straight out of the camera), Shadow Shot Sunday and Thursday Challenge (Golden) for more interesting photographs around the blogosphere. And if there is only one photo below, click on Sara’s Fave Photos to see a nice bunch here.
With a nod to the king of peppers, Edward Weston, I choose this as my Best Post of the Week.

You are an inspiration – love the photos and blogs.
I volunteer and visit farmers markets frequently. Here prices are higher at super markets. However you pay for what you get. Locally, response-able stores feature local organic produce at similar prices and in season, there are numerous farm stands. Of course you cam subscribe to CSA’s it’s practicaly delivered direct.
Thank you for your nice words on my site!
Your lake or sea view is gentle and beautiful and today`s sunshine colours are like our day today 🙂
Happy weekend to you!

Bright! Luscious! And delicately shadowed!
FOR LOVE OF SHADOW
Tell your shadow that you love her,
Spurn your shadow, if you dare.
Keep your shadow out of darkness,
Keep her in the sun’s harsh glare!

I agree farmer’s markets are great places to shop. Being a farm, country girl, I love fresh veggies and fruit.
My mouth is watering at the thought of what I could make with these peppers, just from looking at this marvelous photo!. I’m thinking of slicing them thin and a quick olive oil sautee’ with a few onions. Then I’ll whip up some eggs, grate a little cheese and make a scramble. With some sourdough toast and home made strawberry jam. I’m set. thanks for breakfast!
Peace
These are my favorite, I can just about taste them. Linking from SOOC.
