Rainbow reflection
It poured really hard. I thought we were in Bali or someplace. As the warm air cleared, I looked to the east and there was a sunset rainbow, complete with a reflection I later saw in the puddle.

gorgeous! the intensity of the color in the sky is fantastic! did you use a filter? or touch it up after? really a great shot. Happy Outdoor Wednesday (on Thursday!)
CallinMarie, I did not use filters or touch up the sky. The light was amazing, and my Canon Powershot tends to saturate quite a bit, thus the lavender look to the sky. I did crop and remove a small distraction, so it’s not exactly SOOC. But the reflection in the puddle really does it to me!
Rainbows always make for great images. It’s been quite a while since I had the opportunity to capture one.

What a reward visiting your blog gave me. This is as lovely a photograph as I’ve ever seen. Sadly, Mumbai’s monsoon rains have not afforded me rainbow scenes yet. I’m missing San Francisco right now.

What a lovely lavender sky and contrasting rainbow. I like the way the rainbow intensifies as it goes down and lights up the twisty tree.
