Japanese maple with red stems
I took this photo of a red-twig Japanese maple beginning to show fall color a few years ago on this date. As my skills improve (and do you think that the 1,359 photo blog posts and the over five years of photo blogging might have something to do with that?) I find that I can go back to images that were pretty good and with a few subtle tweaks, give me an image I love. I hope you like this one, taken on a Seattle sidewalk.
Linking up at Ruby Tuesday 2, Monday Mellow Yellows, Outdoor Wednesday, Scenic Weekends, Pink Saturday, Mandarin Orange Monday, Orange You Glad It’s Friday, and Saturday Show Off. Don’t forget to browse around here by clicking on a new tag or category at the right that seems interesting. I think you’ll enjoy the pretty pictures.

Here in Arkansas the sycamores are among the first to change, first to a light green then yellow. The oaks and maples will follow very soon. It is a wonderful time of the year. Happy RT.
Lovely shapes and colour. Thanks so much for joining in on the fun at Mandarin Orange Monday:)
Nothing prettier than those Japanese maples, especially in autumn. I wish I could be in the PNW to enjoy the autumn colors. It’s still Indian Summer down here with just a tad of fall coloring. Enjoy!
good photo; have a nice weekend
