Vanda orchid
At the last day before the recent temporary closure to complete the restoration at Seattle’s Volunteer Park Conservatory (reopening Dec. 6!), these purple vanda orchids did their amazing thing.

Amazing indeed Sara, they are stunning!
Wonderful patterns and colors.
That flower is just lovely with the light shining through it!
Stunning orchid.

Spectacular. I just cleaned up my orchids after their summer outside. I hope they bloom this winter, I see some promising growth.
Beautiful purple, and the pattern is sensational. I like the magenta contrast on the stigma too. The backlighting makes it really glow. I enjoyed visiting the Conservatory a couple of times, fantastic orchids and other plants!
I grow orchids – I have about 4 of them that continue to bloom for me. I would so cherish a Vanda orchid!
