Lake Cushman, cool afternoon
It’s brutally hot here, record-breaking for Seattle, today in the upper 90s. That may not impress some of you, but I believe that 100 degrees F. is the Seattle record. And only 13% of us have air conditioning. And one forecast says 102 degrees tomorrow!
So! Here is a picture of coolth for all you overheated locals. This is Lake Cushman, WA, taken last week on our camping trip. Enjoy! And for more water visions everywhere, get cyberwet and visit Watery Wednesday.

Oh, that water looks sooooo cool and refreshing. We all need to go there NOW! It’s so hot and I’m not one of the 13% with AC, unless you count our camper. We might be sleeping in it tonight just to stay cool. 🙂
Bbbrrr! I can just imagine how cold the water is… 🙂
Happy WW!
enjoy your camping!
how i wish i could take off work and go to a camping trip, too!
Lovely photo and it does look so nice and cool. I heard from friends in Seattle this morning how hot it is. Hope you survive it OK!
moody! i LOVE the fog in the background
OMGosh, only 13% w/ a/c’s? That’s awful – I’m so sorry it’s so hot up there. I sure hope an extra eye is watching over babies/children, the elderly, & animals!
Please be careful in that kind of heat!
You photo is a very nice capture!
Hope you’re able to keep cool
Oh, to be able to dive into that lake… or just have those clouds… It’s going to be a cooker of a day, I can feel it already… ugh.
That little island looks very proud of itself! 🙂
Lovely image of ‘coolness’ on these HOT days ;–)
Hugs and blessings,
I’m down in California and it’s only in the 80s. I was laughing that Seattle took our weather. I heard it may get to 100 or even break the record! Hope you can stay cool.
I know your pain!!!! We of the temperate rainforest are suffering. Your photo looks so welcoming. Thanks for sharing and have a great week.
Smiles from simmering Haida Gwaii!
Still hot! Today “only” 88 in the house, not 90 like yesterday. Oh boy! Thanks for all your “cool” comments. Let’s hope we all get to be comfy in our own homes soon!
