Field of red tulips
I’ve been sick with that awful bug that’s going around, so here’s a shot from last year’s Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, north of Seattle, WA. This year the warm weather is bringing earlier blooming up there in Skagit County.
Check out Our World Tuesday, Monday Mellow Yellows, Ruby Tuesday 2, Outdoor Wednesday, Floral Friday, Scenic Weekends, Skywatch Friday, Straight out of the Camera Sunday, Pink Saturday, and Saturday Show Off. Wow! That is quite a colorful display. It is hard to imagine all of the work that goes into producing a crop of delicate flowers. Nicely captured.

Happy Pink Saturday, dear Sara. I hope you are feeling better now.
I hope one day to see fields of tulips growing. Thank you for sharing this breathtaking image. It is being featured on my Pink Saturday post this weekend as “the one that caught my eye”.♥
Oh my goodness, my life long friend Lynette loves tulips, especially red ones, a fun fact I recently learned about her. I am going to send her over here to see your beautiful photo. Many years ago I knew a blogger who lost her lovely daughter Amy, to cancer. She loved tulips too. Her mom was planting them one year in memory of her. A large bird swooped down and stole one of her bulbs. When Spring came around her mom told me that one red tulip grew across the street at her neighbors home. After she told me that story I planted some tulips and one lone red tulip popped up each year for the 6 years I lived in my old house on Mildred Drive. I still drive by to see if it is still h=there and always think of Amy. Your capture is beautiful. Happy Easter, Anne
