More camping shadows
We are going camping next week again, this time near Mt. Ranier. In thinking about our trip, of course I had to look at some of the photos from last time, and thought I’d post this late day shot of a nearby campsite. The combination of clear light, tall trees and the late hour makes for some mighty fine shadows. Thank you to Tracy of the Hey Harriet blog, who created of Shadow Shot Sunday, for opening my eyes to the sweet penumbra.
Don’t you just want to sit down at that table?

We’ll be at Mt. Rainier next week–at White
River Campground Thursday and Friday nights and on t he trails at Sunrise Friday and Saturday. If you are there, look for our Little Guy trailer in the A Loop–probably in A-13.
Oh, yes, I do want to sit right down! What a lovely, lovely place and the shadows are perfect! Have a great trip!

Oh yes I’d love to sit down at that table. What a perfect spot for a yummy picnic lunch! A beautiful photo! I’m now looking forward to seeing more from your next trip. Happy camping 🙂
What a beautiful, serene photograph! Makes us want to go hike into the woods and set up camp.

Really beautiful photos!
Yes, I do want to sit there! It’s heaven to me and that place is just the kind of place I adore. Gorgeous shot. Many thanks for the link to quietpaths. I am honored. And… I will do the same!
Oh … how LOVELY! Makes me want to take myself out to the woods ;–)
Hugs and blessings,
The tall ones gather
to tell their timeless stories
of light and shadow.
My Shadow Shots
What a lovely photo. I love photos of natural beauty.
See my Shadow Shot for this week HERE.
Very beautiful light effect. Was there smoke in the air?
Thank you for all your encouraging comments. Yes, sharp eyes, Arija! A nearby campsite had a fire going, and it didn’t hurt the light, did it?
Going camping today and will return with more good images, I hope!
This is wonderful forest shot. Looks like a photo from a book…
Cozy to camping in, huh? Hope you enjoyed your time w/ your love ones.
Have a wonderful day.
