Cruise ship light sculpture

I’m not really sure what to call this giant light fixture in the middle of the NCL Breakaway cruise ship. It’s several stories tall and the LED colors keep changing. Trippy, man!

Longwood Gardens waterlily pool

Another Longwood Gardens fabulous sight: at least four waterlily pools/ponds reflecting the blue sky with puffy clouds.

Longwood Gardens pool

I was told that they are getting ready to plant water lilies in the six inches or so of water on this space in the incomparable Longwood Gardens outside of Philadelphia.

Longwood Gardens flower balls

I was lucky enough to visit Longwood Gardens near Philadelphia, PA just a few days ago. What an enormous,, impressive and gorgeous place. The photo below is inside one of their huge indoor conservatory spaces.

Volunteer Park Conservatory in spring

One of my favorite places in the whole world, the Conservatory at Volunteer Park in Seattle, WA.

Already with the glass panes whitewashed against the sun, the Conservatory in Volunteer Park is a gem

Babies, San Miguel

Since the streets and sidewalks are quite uneven in San Miguel de Allende (vast understatement!), strollers just don’t cut it.

Roof plants in San Miguel

Many of the roofs in San Miguel de Allende in Mexico have plants in pots at the roof’s edge over the street. I do wonder about earthquakes, if not high winds.

Colorful San Miguel

Here are two photos of color, in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

I was charmed by the colors the building walls were painted in the central district in San Miguel, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Parroquía San Miguel Arcángel

Two views of the interior, one above the other, of the Parroquía church in San Miguel de Allende, in Mexico. I have never seen bricked vaulted ceilings anywhere but in San Miguel.

The high ceiling of the famed Parroquía church is vaulted and covered with brickwork. I do worry about earthquakes when I see such a ceiling.
