I’ve never seen these clouds in this area (Seattle). I believe they are called mammatus. Yes, there were thunderstorms later.

I do love lilacs. They look good even in this wettest year ever in Seattle.

Puget Sound does sunsets very nicely, even in cool weather. With a seagull!

Before yesterday’s thunderstorms (not too common in the Seattle area), the clouds were getting ready.

A couple of days ago, the two columnar apple trees near my patio looked like this, not quite blooming. Wonder what two warm and sunny days will do?

Bluebells and forget-me-nots, a pruned grapevine, and two columnar apple trees almost in bloom. Scallions (green onions) blooming at lower left, and a multi-graft plum tree in the distance.

Brugmansia, or Angels Trumpet, is challenging to photograph, although so very graceful and exciting in person. This one had a heavenly fragrance in the early evening.

This is one of those images I don’t really have a title for, and don’t really know why I love it, but I keep wanting to look at it, so there might be something there for you, too.

Magnolias seem to be beautiful in all stages. This one has lost one petal.

There was a sunbreak. The tree on the left is a Japanese magnolia showing how the hard rain we had knocked a lot of the petals off, and on the right is pink dogwood, getting ready to bloom. In front are three hydrangeas, just sticks still, and a red azalea just starting.
