Sometimes the underside of a flower is quite beautiful.

Finally the warm days have made the tomato thing happen in the garden. Little, but so sweet!

Recent wildfires have made our Seattle sky so smoky. The moon is almost full, and so red (even redder than this photo), high in the sky.

This houseplant has flowered for me before, but this time there are TWO flowers. It must be happy.

‘Double Delight’ rose has always been one of my top fave rosebushes. I think this is the third or fourth one that I’ve owned.

Seattle’s Volunteer Park was the site of an amazing group of over 30 light art installations, A Night to Awaken, by Lusio.

Aren’t these unusual hollyhocks pretty? Of course, the gardeners at the Volunteer Park Conservatory in Seattle know what they are doing.

Our very young peach tree gave us eight peaches! When’s the last time you saw peaches with fuzz on them? Commercial growers breed that out of them for market purposes, but the store ones sure don’t smell and taste like these.

My roses in the front yard are loving this warm, dry weather, even though the sky is so hazy with smoke from the Canada wildfires.

The roses in my front yard rosebed are looking phenomenal. I think they like the hazy (smoky!) sunshine we have had for the past few days. The lack of rain is making them that much more fragrant.
