Tropical flowers macro

I know the left one is an orchid, and I think the other one is a kind of protea, but not sure. Anyone? At Seattle’s Northwest Flower & Garden show, on now. #NWFGS

Bucket of tulips

Visiting Seattle’s Pike Place Market, I saw so many tulips. What abundance!

Tulips emerging

There was a sunbreak recently (a very Seattle thing) and I went outside to work in the garden. The bulbs are starting! Behind the tulip sprouts are bluebells starting up.

Ribbon crowns

Not sure the real name of these headpieces for little girls playing dress up, but I know if I was five I sure would want one! Later: They are called Fairy Crowns.

Amaryllis stamens

Amaryllis indoors

I’ve had good luck with getting some red amaryllis to rebloom. I treat them like houseplants and give them summers outside on the sunny patio. The geraniums behind it do well that way, too.
