We are going camping for a few days so I’ll post two photos today for you.
Yesterday there was a garden tour pretty close by and the weather was superb. One lovely place had this view of Puget Sound from their backyard. For more scenic loveliness, visit Scenic Sunday.

Another garden had planted different kinds of sunflowers. They were in their element, literally! It’s a Flower for Today, and visit them for fascinating photos of flowers around the world.

See you in a few!

We went to the Normandy Park Cove beach for the fireworks on Saturday. It was a gas, filled with fun and adrenaline as errant fireworks occasionally zoomed by. And it was loud, too, believe me, since so much was set off at once. But I have NEVER seen such a red sky. Maybe it was all the smoke from all the fireworks being detonated everywhere, but there it was.
For more rubiness, visit the inimitable Ruby Tuesday.

Ah, gray Seattle! I can tell I’ve lived here a while when I start to get excited about different kinds of gray skies. The overlook near my house provides some scenic views, that’s for sure. Visit Scenic Sunday for more scenigasms.

After our anniversary dinner the other day, we took a little stroll along the pier, but it was too windy to stay long. You can see the Puget Sound water surface is not that smooth, but the rays of the sunset was welcome with its brilliant color enlivening the gray skies and dark water. Happy Skywatch Friday, everyone!

A recent sunny day yielded reflections on a pond for us all to enjoy. For other watery delights, visit the Watery Wednesday meme, filled with fascinating water photos from all over.

Watery Wednesday is here, and all is dry today here in Seattle, but a few weeks ago this pond told a different story.
Again, anyone have any CafePress.com experience to share?

Looking at the sky from an airplane is only sort of a sky view, but when there are clouds right there, what else is it? Anytime I fly, it’s a reminder of how beautiful and huge our country is, and mostly seemingly empty.
For more beautiful skies around the world, visit Skywatch Friday. Join in, if you like; it’s loads of fun.

This is from last July down at Normandy Park Cove beach. Spring is great but I want it to be warm already. Don’t we all?

This is a fresh photo, hot off the memory card. Tonight we were driving into Seattle and the view of Puget Sound from the viaduct (perhaps to be replaced by a tunnel eventually), was just wonderful. I love it when hubby drives and I can take photos! And this is one of the blessings of digital; I know I could never have captured this image on film from a moving car.
Those are the Olympic mountains out there. That speck in the sky is a plane, I believe, not windshield dirt as I first thought.

Last week on that sunny day even the water looked good. Puget Sound may be too cold for swimming, but it looked so lovely reflecting the blue sky. For more water interpretations around the world, click HERE.
