Autumn leaf shadows

There was a brief bit of sun late in the day and it lit up an orange tree.

Reading chair with plants

I took the houseplants in and now the autumn sun comes in this window. My favorite place to read.

Sundog and wind turbines

Driving home from the middle of the state (WA), we saw a sundog along with the huge wind turbines.

Can you see the faint rainbow in the clouds?

Seattle Marimba Quartet

Such a fine time at the Normandy Park (WA) Cove on Friday. These guys are so talented. Here’s just a bit of one of their pieces.

Here’s a shot of all four of them:

Sky over Puget Sound

At the Cove in Normandy Park WA last evening, the sky was mostly gray but quite beautiful, I thought.

Late hydrangeas

When the hydrangeas get a little crepe-y, time to cut and bring them in to dry.

Dahlias at the Market

Thinking about the flowers at Pike Place Market in Seattle. This was taken on today’s date a few years ago. Enjoy this abundance!

Cabin porch

We spent a few days in this little cabin in the Olympic National Forest. It was built in 1907, and it just so happens we met the granddaughter of the man who built it, a Mr. Finch. In any case, a rainy day on a porch like this is just heaven. Note the yoga mat.

Seattle Puget Sound sunset

From my photo archives, a scenic summer sunset down at the waterfront in Seattle, with the Olympic Mountains across the water. The scene is so peaceful but yet so lively, to me.

Lavender Japanese anemone

If you have a roomy, shady spot for a Japanese anemone, it has such pretty flowers. I love flowers that come back every year.
