I have a kokedama houseplant that is my own little Stonehenge. Even though the window faces north, for a only few days at the Solstice, sunshine pours in.

From ten years ago, Tawny grazing the horse pasture next door, taken from my yard. A big house and garage are there now, all fenced in. Life is change.

Here’s a little video clip of a January trip to Sonoma County, CA a few years ago. Scenic barn! Live oak! Birdsong!

And a still from the same scene. I wish you a scenic 2020.

The last Lusio illumination art show at Seattle’s Volunteer Park Conservatory , was so amazing, lighting all the tropical plants and the 1912 historic building in great washes of color. So many talented light artists.

We spent a few days in this little cabin in the Olympic National Forest. It was built in 1907, and it just so happens we met the granddaughter of the man who built it, a Mr. Finch. In any case, a rainy day on a porch like this is just heaven. Note the yoga mat.

And don’t forget the lemon cucumbers, two kinds of string beans, or the truly sweet Italian plums. Late summer is the best!

Our young ‘Frost’ peach tree is about three years old. It doesn’t get peach-leaf curl and has such fragrant, sweet yellow fruit, even ripening in Seattle’s short summers. Time for a cobbler!

Went to visit a friend in New York and we went to the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx. I had never seen the huge rose garden there, which was at its peak. If you can ever go, do so. This is less than half of it.
