Coupeville pier

Coupeville is one of the oldest towns in Washington, I am told. We were here last year at this time. Don’t you just love the starry diamonds on the water?

I once met someone from Willamette University and he told me it’s pronounced to rhyme with “damn it” as in, “It’s Willamette, damn it!” So now you know, and the river is pronounced the same way.

Shadow Sunday at the pier

Finally some decent weather, so with an extra ten minutes, I ducked out to Des Moines (WA) pier and found some actual shadows, courtesy of actual sunshine. Felt great to be in the light like that. For more fascinating shadows, click HERE.
