Recent wildfires have made our Seattle sky so smoky. The moon is almost full, and so red (even redder than this photo), high in the sky.

‘Double Delight’ rose has always been one of my top fave rosebushes. I think this is the third or fourth one that I’ve owned.

Our very young peach tree gave us eight peaches! When’s the last time you saw peaches with fuzz on them? Commercial growers breed that out of them for market purposes, but the store ones sure don’t smell and taste like these.

I picked a bouquet of mostly red flowers today. ‘Double Delight’ rose, a very dark burgundy day lily, and a little ruby red ‘Lucifer’ crocosmia in my back yard, for you.
