I was at Seattle’s Volunteer Park Conservatory last week. These pretty tropical flowers, which I can’t begin to describe, are maybe an inch tall (2.5 cm). Anyone know the name?

The Seattle Design Center in Georgetown has some of the most magnificent pink trees I’ve ever seen. They are planting new ones, but they look so puny compared to the old giants. The first view is from inside the skybridge, which you can see in the second photo.

At Flamingo Gardens near Ft. Lauderdale in Florida, there were lots of…flamingos! Does anyone know the name of the white birds? Later: American White Ibis. Thanks, Kitty!

This structure is enormous and the statues are over life size. Beautiful way to keep the waters calm, at Vizcaya in South Florida.
