Today's Flower is a fall crocus, perhaps?
Walking the other day with my visiting daughter, I found these low flowers perhaps 6 or 8 inches tall, with no leaves. It was a typical Seattle fall day with a bit of rain still on the petals. I think they are called Fall Crocus, but I may certainly be wrong. Anyone know the real name?

Such beautiful flowers and another lovely photo.
Whatever it is, it is a lovely flower. I love the combination of pale purple with the orangey stamen inside.
Your flower is a Colchicum or in common parlance, an autumn crocus. It flowers naked, the leaves come later.
Oh the photo came out lovely. I am so glad, they were so cute.
