Rain rings for Watery Wednesday
I took this in Portland a while ago, at the Japanese Garden. What could be more watery than rain AND a lake? For more Watery Wednesday photos from everywhere, click HERE.

I think this is great – water falling on water. 🙂 Love it! I can’t wait for it to rain here long enough for me to get some interesting shots.
The mood is definitely a gloomy day – so glad you chose not to present it in color – I think this is so much better.
Great shot.
Has a watercolor look to it. I like it very much.
I really like the way the soft ripples of the drops in the lake make it look like an impressionist painting. Very nice capture.
Great shot and interesting post. Very creative!
mine is up
LOL! as a native Oregonian I recognize PNW “color”! You captured the mood of this area during the fall rains perfectly. LOL, still laughing gloomy day, no color.. 😀
Great capture with the raindrops. Thanks for sharing!
Cheers!

Simple and lovely. Looks like nature doing finger painting.
I love this shot! Also the maple leaves, and the shadows…
I think the subdued colours intensify the mood of this photo, pulling me right into it.
Thanks for sharing!
I love it, Sara. I always love the green color. Really cool shot!
Perfect combo of rain and water. I love those ‘clean’ rainy days in the Pacific Northwest. I just miss the sun after awhile but there is nothing cozier than a rainyt day with a good book & a cup of something delish.
Thanks for sharing!
Nice water picture.
Clever shot for watery wednesday. I wouldn’t have thought of that..

We definitely get a lot of rain here in the Northwest. Almost too much for phototaking. But maybe that will be my challenge. To take rainy weather photos and make it beautiful, like with your photo.
Yup, that’s about as watery as you can get! Nice one.
