Shadow Shot Sunday in the kitchen
Here’s a photo of my kitchen the other day. The winter sun here in Seattle is so low in the sky that it comes in the window almost horizontally. To see other shadows, or share one of your own, visit Hey Harriet’s wonderful blog.

That’s lovely! Especially the shadows of the stool legs. Your kitchen looks like a nice warm spot to enjoy breakfast on a cold winter morning. Unless the sun comes through in the afternoon. Then it’s a nice spot for an afternoon snack on a cold winter afternoon ๐
Hmmmm….I think I’m food obsessed…
Lovely mix of subtle and strong shadows! Your kitchen looks like such a cosy place!
I love this photo – the low sun casting a honey glow in your kitchen. It’s beautiful.
I love the stools reflection in the face of your dishwasher.
Thanks for coming by to see my ss.
I really like the relationship between the chair the rest of the kitchen. The chair shows the human presence and makes me think of how the kitchen is a hub for the family and life.
cool shadows too!
Lovely!
What a nice shadow the stool gave..so did the cabinet..Good job.
Something about this picture just calls to me of simplicity and plain pattern, very cool…I think our sun here in Iowa just left the building…
Something really cool about this shot, not sure what it is, but I like it…I think our sun here in Iowa has left the building…
what lovely warm shadows
your kitchen is beautiful
Very nice shadows. Isn’t it wonderful that we find interest and beauty in the most ordinary things and places, when we are searching for shadows? I like this one very much.
Very pleasant warm feeling–nice–
Your kitchen stool looks so inviting – I can almost smell the coffee.
Looks like a very nice kitchen !
Great photo !
Greetings from Belgium !
this is a very cozy inviting kitchen. The light is beautiful.
I just want to sit on that stool and enjoy a nice, hot cup of tea in cozy kitchen. How warm and inviting it looks!
Yes, the low angel of the sun makes for amazing shadows.
Early and late in the day are much more interesting times than noon.
Great shot.
I meant ANGLE!!! -thought this time of year maybe angel too?
an attractive stil life and cozy. Very beautiful skywatch too.
Sarah, your shadow shot tells a story, a lovely story! ๐
You’re right about the angle of the sun now…Beautiful and thank you for visiting my first shadow post, I really appreciate it..
Hi,
First timer to peep in your site.
ah!!! so much nice things see & I just love it all.
Your shadow shot is cute. I didn’t realized that I can chase the shadow in my kitchen too. My worries now is that, Europe have a very poor sunlight ยง:-)
Thanks for sharing!
Wonderful shadow shot, so well-captured.

P.S. Sorry it’s taken me so long to visit here. Life’s been a lot hectic for me and I haven’t been able to do much blog reading. Hopefully, that will change soon.
love this photo and his shadows and light!
