Ruby Tuesday berries
Out on a walk the other day, cold though it was, I found a long fence completely covered in some kind of red berry plant. I have no idea what it is. Does anyone know? But oh so red, and oh so welcome on a gray and gloomy Seattle January day.

I like this. Nice DOF.
I remember it to be cotoneaster. I think it is from south america. It grows wild now throughout California. I like seeing the berries during the winters.
This looks so festive! I think it’s cotoneaster too. I bet it looked pretty in the snow too.
…And the birds LOVE those berries!
I’m just wondering whether they are edible? ;p
That is a terrific berry bush and your shot is great. What color that must add to the neighborhood! Greetings and happy day.
I bet that fence is a stunner irl, the envy of the neighbourhood:) Lovely pic!
Wonderful photo! I love how they’re so plentiful.

That’s the prettiest fence I’ve ever seen:)
Dazzling. Don’t know what kind of berries they are, but they sure are photogenic!
The plant sure has beautiful berries! It reminds me of cotoneaster, although the variety growing in my garden hugs the ground.
What a wonderful strip of color. Looks a lot like Cotoneaster but I never seen it with that many berries before.
This must be the winter berry because I see these a lot. I didn’t know what they were either until I read some of the responses. 🙂
These are extraordinary RED berries, sara! Glad you participated and I hope you forgive me for being late in my comments. 🙂
Strange. No one answered whether they’re an edible berries or not. Does anyone know they are edible?
