Scenic Astoria Bridge
Here is a post for Scenic Sunday. I think to be scenic there has to be expansive view, have sunny skies and hopefully be pretty as well. That’s what I feel is scenic, and others may have other ideas. This one of the distinctive bridge in Astoria, Oregon, qualifies. If you go there, the town has enough old buildings to be charming as well. For more scenic photography around the world, click HERE.
Amazing photo! I actually have a fear of driving on bridges! It’s irrational, but that’s me!
Wow! That bridge looks like to goes on forever…and ever…and ever! If there’s a great place to visit at the end of that bridge….we’d follow the shadows for sure!
very nice
I love old historical old bridges. We had one crossing the Mississippi, built in 1872, but came crashing down with trucks and cars crossing in the 60’s…if we only had digitals back in the day…what a beautiful shot this is, good work!

What a terrific view and great shot. I really have to visit Astoria one day. It seems like such a charming place.
What a neat view. I’m trying to figure out how you got down there to take that pic. I didn’t realize there was access down below. I have a picture on my blog from the top of ‘the column’ of the bridge. Have you been up there yet? Astoria’s a fun place to spend the day.
Hi kden,
That photo was taken from the place we stayed at, right at the bridge. But there was a riverside walkway right there that provided a great view as well. We also went and climbed the column that day, a fun experience and great exercise as well. We loved the whole Astoria thing.
Love the prepestive of this photo. I would love to visit Astoria again the time I was there it was raining buckets of water. Enjoyed all your photos as well

The angle in which you shot this makes this image all the more interesting. Very nice shot.
This is very scenic. It’s a spectacular photo.

I think the bridge is scenic as well as Astoria. Very beautiful area. I even rode my bicycle arcross this bridge once.
This is wonderful. The perspective is awesome. I love photos of bridges, especially over water. I’m wondering what all those little things are sticking up out of the water.
In case anyone’s wondering, those moss-covered pieces of wood are supports for long-gone piers from the Columbia river there. I have a couple of other photos of them that are really otherworldly that I’ll have to post someday.
