A pink tree is happening!
Alert the newspapers, spring has been sighted! I saw these branches blooming in downtown Seattle a couple of days ago, while all else remains bare. As I circled the (cherry blossom? or flowering plum?) branch in full digital-camera-mode of taking LOTS to choose from later, a woman passerby said, “C’mon, spring!” and I couldn’t agree more.

Just gorgeous. I love the background with the bare trees and how you captured the soft sunlight on the petals. Just lovely. Yes, spring is coming!

Wow, I don’t think we even have these in Portland yet! Some other things blooming but not the trees. Maybe I’ll have to look more carefully. Beautiful photo!
You mentioned adjusting curves on my photos – I have not experimented with that and wondered about it, I’ve seen it mentioned. I have pretty basic P/S skills – I mostly use Paint Shop Pro 12 but also have Elements. Care to explain a little more about it? Or direct me to some more info? Thanks so much! Yes, indeed the very first sighting of cherry blossoms are very much treasured. after a long winter they are so welcome. I also love Almond and Peach blossoms. This is a beautiful picture with the pastel colours.

Oh wow, that is such a beautiful photo of your cherry blossoms, and blooming so soon? I wonder, is this unusual for this time of year in Seattle. I have great memories of our visit to Seattle by the way, we were there several years ago. Just love that whole area. Loved the ferry rides. We took several of them.
