Iconic Ruby Tuesday
This photo was taken at the new sculpture park downtown maybe last summer, with the city’s signature Space Needle (left over from an old World’s Fair) framed against the sky. It always makes me feel like the martians have landed. The big red thing is part of a huge sculpture that looks like it’s flying, by Alexander Calder. If you go to Seattle, you should visit the Olympic Sculpture Park, absolutely. It’s a kick.

I like your perspective of framing the space needle. I will have to go see this alien ship next time I am in Seattle.
I love how you used it to frame the Space Needle. Great photo!!
Great shot. I love the vivid colours. Happy WW
Love how you cropped the sculpture for your photo. I was in Seattle once, about 16 years ago, for a friend’s wedding. It’s a beautiful city. Thanks for sharing your view!
This is really interesting. I love how you composed this shot and the colors are terrific. I’ll have to do a photo tour of Seattle when I’m back in the PNW this summer.
Very impressive, Sarah! I’d like to see the whole RED sculpture. But I like what you did in your photo! Great design! Happy Ruby Tuesday! 🙂
Great shot…Happy WW:)
I love the way you captured this – the wonderful contrast between the vivid red and the rest of the shot!
Beautiful layout!
A great point of view superbly taken!
