Watery Wednesday at the Columbia River
On our trip to Astoria, Oregon on my birthday in April we stayed right at the river, which was wonderful. I took some good shots of the amazing bridge at the mouth of the river there, but these moss-covered posts, old pier supports, fascinated me. And I just saw that there’s a seagull hiding in the corner!

i find a hard time looking for the seagull…he..he..anyway this is an interesting picture.
This is a beauty of a pic, in all its simplicity! Love the sun touching the old piers and how it makes them glow!
But it makesa good picture…
Great shot. Wonder if boaters now to avoid that area?
Yeah, I can just see the seagull’s neck and head! I love how the sunlight brightens up the moss on the front posts. Really interesting shot. Hi from Cal.
Nice shot. That would have fascinated me to, all of these posts sticking out of the water like that and covered with moss. Very nice. 🙂
i like the big picture element in this composition which makes it very beautiful.
I would have been fascinated with these old posts, too!
I love the slash of sunlight on the dark water!!!
I like the old bits of wood sticking out and the light in the foreground. Great shot!
