Typical gray skies in Seattle
I know I”ve lived in Seattle a long time when I begin to get excited about shades of gray in the clouds. This view of Puget Sound is from the overlook pretty close to my house. I believe the land out there to the southwest is Vashon Island, but I’m not certain.
I sure could use some puffy clouds in blue, but that’s what the other Skywatch entries are for. Click HERE to find some!

Beautiful composition in warm grays! 🙂
I think water and sky are each great even on gray days and together they are devine.

Great gray clouds, Sara. I agree-we’ve got to get excited about different shades of gray around here!

I do get tired of the gray but when you throw in clouds—well I like clouds. MB

Don’t you just hate that… when the grey clouds part and it only reveals yet another layer of grey clouds! Living in the PNW through the winter… an exercise in patience.
Beautiful photo nonetheless as the grey skies do have their charm!

Not a bad thing though, when you get to shoot shots like that!
