A new flower, Ismene Festalis
We planted so many bulbs last fall, some tried and true, other new ones to take some chances. This is one of the ones I’d never heard of. And it’s fragrant, like most white flowers, a bonus! So amazingly graceful. And for other close ups, visit Macro Monday and take a look around.
That is one amazing flower.
I think Sandy took the words right out of my keyboard. Amazing. And beautiful.
Very cool flower. We can’t grow these in Connecticut, our winter is too cold.
Wow… I’ve not laid eyes on a flower like that before. Tis gorgeous!
I thought those were the bulbs we picked up in early spring at Fred Meyers? Are they really fragrant? That’s awesome.
No, I planted these last fall. You and I picked up some freesias (still to emerge) and dahlias in the spring. These are pretty darn showy, aren’t they?
