New York City fountain experience
This fountain/art piece was somewhere in midtown Manhattan, not far from Rockefeller Center. If anyone knows the name of the artist or more about it, I’d like to know. I’ve never seen anything like it.
I prefer the first photo with my friend JoAnne marvelling at the noisy rush of water all around her, but the one below that shows more of it. Enjoy the Watery Wednesday post, and visit there for many more watery photos.
What a different fountain!
Nice to have a look at water “from inside” 🙂
I love this sort of thing – the full immersion experience.
nice pic if I am not mistaken its near central park or is that another one? can’t remember exactly but i do remember going near that fountain when I visited NY
Technology is just amazing isn’t it! WOW.
I swear I almost recognize that… hmmm digging in brain… we lived in NYC for several years and then in New Jersey for longer… hmmm… where oh where is THAT??
Wonderful fountain! Must be funny to stand in the tunnel.
That is too cool. I’ll send Daryl from On the M104 over this way, it’s in her neck of the asphalt jungle ;-).

Summer Stock Sunday is up and running – come join us!
Interesting photos, Sara.
That is just stunning Sara, you looked like you were having fun. 🙂
Wow, is that ever cool! 🙂
I’d love to see that!
This is an interesting waterfall. It looks like the pavement is wet and I assume it was a rainy day.. since people routinely walk through this tunnel. This would be another place to visit next time I get there. Both shots are lovely!
Thanks for your comments. It was raining and so it was wet everywhere. The sound was wonderful!
That is so cool. I think I might like the bottom photo better. I was just in NYC a few days ago and didn’t know about this fountain.
Wow! I absolutely love this. I would love to see this in person. Cool!
Wow, that is an interesting fountain! Very cool – and I love the second shot! Looks a bit surreal!
Very cool! I think it would be awesome to stand under it!
Daryl tracked it down – it’s on W. 48th St :). She says that ‘they’ are working on the plaza that is on 49th St. It’s closed off and the tables/chairs and plants that are usually there are also absent, I guess they’ll be working on this side (48 St) next.
She took some awesome photos of it too, which I think she’s planning on sharing on her own blog at some point.
Fabulous installation, isn’t it?
Oh my word that is something completely different, that is amazing and looks as though some one was having a lot of fun Just makes me wanna be there too 🙂
