Pansies are violas, not violets
I love the macro setting on my little point-and-shoot Canon. It lets us really look at something in a way we rarely think to do. These three small pansy blossoms from my garden (from a volunteer plant!), each less than an inch and a half (4 cm) wide show us their perfection. Visit Macro Monday for other interesting close ups, and Mellow Yellow Monday for other photos with some interesting yellow components.

Very beautiful!
These are so stunning! I love the detail in the heart of each one! Like artistic fine lines creating a butterfly outline!
Gorgeous snap of a wonderful flower! We have many in our garden and I have taken way too many photos of them all!
Beautiful!
My MYM
You have a real talent for photography. ALL of your photos are spectacular and the colors are surreal. I love the tiny purple veins in these flowers and the tiny peek of a water vase underneath. Bravo!
i always love flowers, specially with different colors like this one. My MYM here.
Very pretty, nice close up shot!
I get pretty good macro results with my own little Cannon. The pansy is so delicate and lovely. Nice shot!
Incredible detail! I shoot only with my Canon P&S (yet)! Someday hoping for a DSLR 🙂 Lovely shot, just lovely.
Just a spark of yellow…perfect for showing off the delicate shading of the petals.
Magnificent ;–)
I do so love pansies and yours are lovely indeed!
Hugs and blessings,
