Roses in the fog
The other morning the rose bed in front of the house was all foggy looking, just for a few minutes. That’s my neighbor’s planting in the background. We are putting tulips around the edges of the rose bed for the springtime, before the roses get going, and planted them just in time for the recent rain to bless the bulbs.

Beautiful garden and just wait until next spring when the tulips come up! The PNW climate that you’re in provides the perfect elements for nurturing such colorful, lush gardens…unlike our semiarid wasteland down here in Cali!

Lovely roses and garden. Hopefully the fog burnt off with the sun rising.
Sara L. Chapman on 21 Oct 2009 at 1:58 pm #
Thank you all for the great comments. Don’t we all love roses! Yes, the fog left, the little fairies dancing left, and now the fall rain is here. I bet there will still be another flower or two left for us this year, though.

Hi Sarah,
As an artist, the soft fog effect you caught so well, makes this look like a painting. Gorgeous photo (even if I weren’t partial to roses.) This is my first time here via Wordless Wed, but I’ll surely be back.
