Candy corn leaves
A couple of weeks or so ago there was a big windstorm after a rainy spell, and the first leaves blew off the trees. Still fresh and perfect, the colors were more like delicious candy corn than the crunchy brown I remember from long-ago New York autumns.
See Mellow Yellow Monday and Macro Monday for more yellow and close-ups, and check out Color Carnival for more brilliant colors. Do you think they are worthy of Scenic Sunday as well? They are all SOOC, or straight out of the camera, and while we’re at it, visit Ruby Tuesday for more ruby redness.
Which one do YOU like best of the photos? Top, middle, or bottom?
Visit BPOTW for more blog posts chosen by their authors as the Best of the Week.
Too hard to choose they are all stunning. Such beautiful fresh colours.
Gee, it’s hard to choose which one I like best. I like them all! Each has a different mood. I love your analogy to candy corn!
Oh … I think I like the top one best! They do look almost edible, don’t they?
I’m always impressed with SOOC pictures. At the very least, I usually have to crop mine a little.
great shots! reminds me of a neighborhood park back-in-the-day where they would rack the leaves into piles for the kids to play in them … ah, the good ol’ days!
I agree with Jay. I like the top one best too but they are all great photos. Lovely leaves!
Great shots you’ve got here. The color is awesome. But I bet there is a lot of raking after that ^_^
Mine is up My Life’s Journey in Focus
colorful indeed! wish i could see a lot of those here!
u may view mine if u have time
I’m filled with a sudden childlike desire to ROLL in those Fall leaves … just because!
Hugs and blessings,
Oh just beautiful.. I love the way you panned out! Wonderful shots!! Sarah
I think I like the top one best. 🙂 But I love the colors in all of them!
Beautifully presented!
Oh – i just want to run around and kick up those crispy leaves! I think I like the top one best too, but it is so hard to choose.
Thanks for clicking to follow my blog – it means that you will get a notification somewhere – google account page maybe – when I update it. I really appreciate – it thanks again.
No contest, the top photo is delicious. Honest — there’s a real sensuality there. It’s a very good photo indeed. Of course the others aren’t too shabby either.
Great photographs Sara – I like the top image the best because of the uniformity of the tones and colours and subject. The others are very good too but I think that the green grass detracts from the feeling of fall, not much but enough that I like the top one more! Nicely done!
I was thinking along the same lines as Dave, above. I like the top best for just the soft, sublte colours.
wonderful colors!
My Ruby Tuesday
Excellent work, just excellent!
While I am a sucker for a close-up, I do love the last photo. Well done indeed!!! Have a wonderful Ruby Tuesday.
what a gorgeous scene!
My Ruby Tuesday
I can’t decide which one I like best, they are all beautiful to me. We can never find leaves those colors here.
These are fabulous shots! The vibrant reds, the perspectives of each…absolutely stunning!
Wonderful colors. I love the last photo the colors look great.
Heavenly….a blanket of ruby reds and golden topaz!!!
My R T is seaworthy…OUCH! Click here
almost impossible to chose
the texture of the top is amazing
but they are all 3 stunning
They are each appealing in their own way, I guess I love the softness of the top picture best if I have to choose.
No way to choose a favorite here! I selected the second for the Color Carnival collage just because I think it will show up best in the collage 🙂
These are beautiful pictures – what gorgeous colours!
Such beautiful colors! Wonderful shots.
Oh the bottom one definitely! All three are great pictures, but I want to go jump in to the bottom one. Beautiful colors
