Pyramid Lake, Nevada
Flying to Las Vegas recently, we flew over an amazing lake that I recognized from above. What’s surprising is that there is so much beautiful blue water surrounded by such an empty desert landscape. The airplane window didn’t help the sharpness any, but it’s still a great peek at the world from above.

Love this! I got a similar picture about a month ago of Lake Mead. Your desert comment? Exactly what I was thinking at the time. (Also about the airplane window.)

What a gorgeous landscape; from the plane you can truly appreciate how varied it is.

Great vantage point, it is interesting all that desert around the lake.

It is unusual to see a lake in the desert. A good in the sky watch.

Hi Sara
Wow what a great capture from the plane – those are hard to get to turn out so crisp and clean!
Thank you also for your comment on my SWF host photo – it was much appreciated!
