Alstroemeria, or Peruvian Lily
I seem to be most attracted to photos from exactly half a year ago. This one was in a neighbor’s yard. Alstroemeria is a very nice spreading perennial that can take a bit of neglect. And they make superb cut flowers, lasting a LONG time. The only downside is no scent. I planted some pink ones and we’ll see if they do well.

Beautiful photo of a beautiful plan.! It is hardy in our area but I’ve never grown it. After seeing your photo, I need to give it a try!

Love the yellow, not sure I’ve ever seen that flower myself, is it local to your area?

Glad you all like this pretty flower. It grows well outside here in the Pacific Northwest (Western Washington, at least) and also grew very well in Northern Calfornia, where I saw it naturalized once in an abandoned yard, the real sign of a happy and easy plant. The pink and pale shades are even prettier, in my opinion. It also grows in shades of orange. Try it!
