Cactus shadows
The weather has been so cold that it’s discouraging to be out of doors too much, but the sunny weather is so appreciated for us sunlight-starved Seattlites. Here’s a recent photo of my early morning window view of cacti, right where I have my coffee. The rocks (mostly heart-shaped, although you can’t see that here) including the agate one, were found digging in my garden.

You have a wonderful nice little cactus garden. Enjoy the sunshine while you can.
Wishing you the happiest of holidays!
Oh, what lovely shadow shots you caught, Sara! Our wonderful sunshine has been great for shadow hunting at least, in spite of the cold. Looks as though it’s about to go away for a while though!
Enjoy the remainder of your weekend!
Sylvia
Hello, wow this is a beautiful photo. Love the way the sun shines, nice and bright and the casting of the shadows, just gorgeous. I love taking photos like this, the sun just brings out the best in all. Thank you for sharing. π I would like to ask for your permission to save this photo to my computer π By the way I love cacti, I should buy some. Enjoy your day π cya
Please do save this photo to your computer, enjoy it, and thanks for asking. All I ask is you retain the credit line. Sara
A nice gathering of lighting and textures. The sun looks so warm as it settles upon the plant life and counter. The shadows move far beyond the subject due to the angular rays. The sun is captured nicely as it nestles in each branch and leaf. This is a fine day in the Emerald City!
I really like the little terracotta guy!
That’s a most wonderful display and a great spot to be sipping coffee. What a magical view! Wishing you some sunshine for the week ahead. If it was at all possible I would send you some of mine. We have way more than we need over here right now π
That’s a lovely selection of shadows!

It must be nice to have the morning coffee by the window … beutiful collection!
Wonderful shadows cast by your potted cactus collection π
Hugs and blessings,
Wonderful cactus garden and beautiful light in this photo. Now, if only I could care for all the cactus that I own!
