Festive dahlia
I know a dahlia grower over in Des Moines, Washington. He grows about 250 different kinds of dahlias. I wish he would use a computer and see this photo (mong many) I took of his flowers on a fine September day. It looks a bit Christmassy, doesn’t it?
I like the neat shadows on the petals. Visit Hey Harriet for more cool shadows.

Wow, what a gorgeous bloom! Yes, it does look very Christmassy – those colors are perfect for the season. Great shadow shot!

So that’s a Dahlia? I’d heard of these flowers but hadn’t seen one before. And you captured it so beautifully that it seems a pity that the grower can’t view your photo. It’s funny to me that some people in this day and age don’t use computers. Oh yes & it is very Christmassy! Merry Christmas to you and happy happy happy holidays! My workplace closes up for 2 weeks on Wednesday & I’m so excited!!!
