Oakleaf hydrangea
This is a kind of oakleaf hydrangea, I think, with very double flowers. This was blooming in mid-September in the Seattle area. I’ve not seen another one like it.

Beautiful! Love the pink tips on them.

What a sharp contrast to how my oak leaf hydrangea currently looks – I’ve got droopy, bright red leaves covered in a glaze of frost. Wonderful bits of dainty pink.

Hi! Beautiful flower! I have some trouble growing Hydrangeas. They don’t stay the color I bought them for. Someone has told me it’s the dirt. Not enough something. Have a great day!

Lovely. I am particularly fascinated when dried. I’ve never tried to grow because I just know our soil cannot possibly be good for them. It is filled with calachie – a limestone.

It was in someone else’s garden, in a big planter, cascading over the sides. I wish it was mine!
